Friday, 20th February 2026, the first day of Thursday marks the completion of the month of Sha’ban. Consequently, Friday, 20th February, 2026, will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH across Australia and New Zealand. According to the FATWA of the the Grand MARAJEA who stipulate local sighting with the naked eye such as His Eminence, the Grand Ayatollah Sayyid al-Sistani (may his shadow endure) May Allah bring it upon the believers with goodness and blessings.
